    The add-on, or the video card? If you are refering to the new card not supporting Shader 3.0, that is incorrect. The new card, the 520, will support 3.0, but not 3.0a.

    I reformatted earlier today, and tonight, when I went to watch a movie, my folder that contained all my movies was gone. At first I thought that I must have deleted it by accident, but after a few minutes searching, I checked my hard drive space and it said: Free space: 131 GB Total Space...

    There are too primary settings within the Light_env. entity, one being the Light value and the Ambient value. The Light value is the light generated from the skybox, and the ambient is just that, the ambient light setting. So, yes. You need the skybox to take advantage of the light__env. entity.

    There is no way to prove that you are indeed playing legitimately, so the best thing you can do is take it as a complement, and go along with your game.
