Alright thanks for the help guys although its still not working... I am sure that nothing is shorting the board, and the light is on which means that it's not fried. We tried to reset the CMOS/BIOS, but, with all this done, the monitor still says, "no signal." And ASUS, there is no ON/OFF...

Also, we tried switching my 9700Pro for another card, but that gave us the same results. We also tried switching monitors, but that didnt help either.

AMD is definitely better for gaming. And for everything, I just got a 3800+ and I love it. I agree with Asus. You should just bust out a X800 XT and another stick of XMS... This is no regular upgrade, this is a huge jump. If it were a small difference it wouldnt be such a big deal, but...

They are completely different games. They will both be outstanding in their fields. I will be playing both all the time.

I didn't even know there was a 128mb 9800 XT... I was going to say whatever you do go with ATI for HL2. That's my opinion at least, I guess we will see the actual numbers when the game gets closer to release.
