But an overclocked 9500PRO is better. But to overklock a 9500PRO you need to flash the bios, that's just to much for some (like me =P ).

I'm not really shure what purpose they serve either, but I know that the 9800PRO and 5900 both have 8.
One thing I know though, is that a card with 4 pipelines ain't that strong with AA and AF.
I'm buying myself a new comp (from scrap, wich means a new chassi and everything else) sometime next month for about...hmm.I would guess it is around $500-600 and save some for a new video card in August.
And 256bit memory. But that would cost alot to make.
But R420 will be made on a 0.13 process. And it's said to become a monster, so the logical thing is that it has 256 bit memory and/or 8 pipelines.
ATI admited their cheating, but it could barrely be called cheating and removed it as soon as the new drivers where out.
Nvidia on the other hand, never admited the cheating and made another lie that it would be "optimisation", even though their cheating was far greater then ATI's.
