I think even if they were Russians, Valve would make them speak English so that we knew what was going on, like in Half Life when you sneak up on Marines sometimes they are discussing what's going on - "Answers sure, but civilians? Who ordered this operation anyway?" etc. There could be scenes...

Doesn't the plane teleport to Xen just after the flash? So they would have avoided the explosion. And since most of Black Mesa is underground, the full force of it might not have reached the surface.

I found her in Opposing Force by chance, using the teleporter gun to escape certain death from a Black Ops gunship. She looks like the HEV suit coach in Half Life's Hazard Course, anyone else got any ideas who it might be? Unless they just added her in for "decoration"..

It gets nuked at the end of Opposing Force. You hear the Black Ops talking about delivering the "package" and they have a warhead in the back of their truck. Then you see two others setting up another nuke. At the end when the G-Man is talking to you there's a white flash and he says something...

I thought the story line was the same as Half Life, after all, Freeman, Shephard and Calhoun are all in Black Mesa at the same time which is why you see them or hear their names mentioned at certain times, or go through areas where the other two have been before.

Yeah, in Half Life you wore the HEV Mark 4, over the years it's probably been upgraded to a Mark 5 or 6 :)

I agree, apart from HLDM, TFC has to be one of the funnest and fastest mods out there :). The last I saw of Team Fortress 2 it looked a lot different from TFC - doesn't look like there will be any more rocket and conc jumping :( Then again that style is getting on a bit now, and some of the new...

You see the Ichtyosaur (or whatever it's called), on Xen - if Nihilanth teleports you three times, you can find one in the water.

If they have Half Life 2 Death Match, I assume one of the player models will be Gordon Freeman.

There's only one I can snipe, she stands on the right side of the warehouse in Lambda Core; when they are standing idly they move their heads back and forth, you have to wait until her head appears around the edge of a container and then shoot her :)

A single shot to the head from the crossbow will kill the Black Ops, but it's much more frantic if you go at them with just the M16 / MP-5.

In the videos you do hear Barney say "Remember when we thought Black Mesa was bad!" or something similar.
