Shenanigans!
Nah, it's just that they should look more weird cause they're aliens. Right now they look like some mutated earth animal. Which is ok I guess, but I was looking for something a little more new and interesting.
There, I said it. They look like the result of some late night boredom/temporary insanity by some Valve artist trying to meet a deadline. Like a mix of ants and spiders, only 20 times bigger. They really aren't the most creative alien beings I have ever seen. And what's up with them coming out...
If HL2 turns out to be a crap game (which is unlikely), you'd still have an awesome game engine to mod or make maps for.
If all else fails, there's always Doom3. :cheese:
Hmm, I didn't know all that. I guess I should revisit that leaked movie if someone could point me in the right direction. I do know, that you will have a PDA in D3 now, an idea that got from a great game, System Shock 2.
Personally, as much as I am looking forward to HL2, you just can't beat the direct fear inducing atmosphere of D3. D3 monsters mean mofo's and there only purpose is to consume your soul/body. HL2 has a story and characters and it's approach is different.
As I've said before, I can't wait for...
OK, I was wrong. It's not an interview. It's basically all the 8 videos plus some extra footage from, the E3 presentation. Also the video are not 100% identical this time. The AI does things a little differently and so on. At least we know it's not scripted!
It's an interview that gamespot did on May 8th. It doesn't have that much in-game footage. Old news if you ask me.
