No, 2d means two-dimensional. Look at Half-Life 2. There are 3 axes, X, Y and Z. You can trace lines to the vanishing point. It is three-dimensional.
And the bullet holes look fine, better than Max Payne in my opinion. At the end of the day they're bullet holes, not exactly making or breaking...
Gorgon, you're talking sheer nonsense mate. You said the walls and ceilings were 2d?
Run that by me again? This isn't Super Mario here, is a fully 3d first person shooter! Even Doom has 3d walls, ceilings etc.
You also want bulletholes to be 3d? Tough, that'd requre everything to be...
OMG THE ERROR ON THAT PLANK, it burns the retina!
I think when I get to that point in-game, and I see the those horrific virtual planks, mere shadows of their real-life counter-parts, I'm going to virtually drown myself in the nearby virtual water, because heaven forbid a jetty that doesn't...
I don't think full magazine scans are allowed m8, and anyway the rest of the pages are just screenshots and info you've all seen/heard before, guarenteed.
I'm not sure m8, I'll have a goosey ganders through the mags tonight and get back to you.
EDIT: Ok I've got 3 (possibly) new pieces of concept art, quality isn't the best but its not too bad:
The Barney in HL2 is most likely Barney Calhoun from the Blue Shift expansion, he was the only defined security guard, and you actually got to play as him. The other 'barneys' were expendable :)
As for the tram, EVIL, I think where the player descends on the elevator was the end of the line...
Chat with John Cook:
JohnC: TF2 will be a standalone game
I was going to ask him something else but...
JohnC: You can stop now, I have to work
 He's a busy man, natch.
