I noticed that the vorts took the g-man, too... Therefore implying that he's another living person/thing.
I think that we'll be seeing him in the 'real world' (aka in-game) in the next few episodes, as another person in city 17 running for their life. hah.
But seriously... I wouldn't doubt...
Pre-release, people thought that it would be used for a normal strider in the distance via skybox. If there was supposed to be a strider in the distance, one way to do so is to make a very small scale model and place it in the skybox...
Not a bad theory, however, wrong.
The tripod critter in the episode 2 preview video can be seen in game by spawning a 'ministrider'.
'npc_create npc_ministrider' in console.
It's not fully animated and the texture doesn't seem quite complete yet, either... But, it's pretty cool to stare at as it shoots you with its invisible...
Hmmm... The teaser brings up some interesting questions about Alyx, but... What I'm more concerned about are those three legged critters.
There was one on a video screen in Episode 1 (If I remember correctly; I should, considering it was only a few hours ago), and therefore, the model should...
Beat it (POSSIBLE SPOILERS)
I'm done...
Pretty short, but fun... Now I'll just have to give it a run-through with commentary. Episode 2 looks pretty intense.

This thread may contain spoilers. It was not originally intended to, but because this thread is referencing the fact that...
Valve's defragger works within the files inside the gcfs...
Windows defragger can only rearrange the whole gcf files. This really helps with the 'stutter bug' as it doesn't have to look at such a 'long distance' to locate the sound files and whatnot that it needs. Everything needed is clustered...
Dear Valve,
Thank you for the defrag thing... It's amazing.
Sincerely,
Paul
.... But seriously guys... This defrag thing should basically get rid of any 'stutter bug' that may be remaining... I also...
Hah.
It's such a small group that's been playing that all of us able to review this practically know each other. ha.
And thanks to retsam for hosting the server (I think it was you, right?). I got by RetroEvolute.
No tax or shipping and handling, kids...
$17.95 total.
HLDM:S has a couple of noticeable bugs:
- People turning invisible (frequently)
- Chat text dissappearing on respawn.
