I figured that if you play HL2 on quite low settings the objects that you can throw etc are drawn soo close so you just don't see em if you don't crawl through the game..... I cant find any draw distance options either. Is there a console command for this? Coz my gf is playing HL2 at her place...

You cannot use the console before you are in the game. You gota start a new game or load a game. Then press the tilde key. (assuming u have enabled the console)
