Hey numbers, good to see you checking in. I'm still mostly around!
You should post more about your experiences if you have time. I like reading about them, anyway.
Something about the controls in this game really put me off. I tried a couple hours to get used to it but it was just below the bar. I don't specifically remember what was wrong, but I haven't played since. I like the concept of the game a lot.
Okay, that video sold me. Combat looks pretty fun, but the large weapon selection and the large battles, and castle sieges with dynamic destruction (?) really excite me. The RPG aspect seems like a good aspect to pull it all together into a full experience.
Pledged the Baron pack.
You're still operating on the assumption that Valve are going to turn into an evil greedy corporation and not give a shit about their users. Show me how Valve has intentionally ****ed over people without chance of recourse. What does Facebook profiling their userbase have to do with Valve...
How would Valve even know who is using the account? It's just a username and password. If you really think Valve would be like "Oh ****, this guy's son is using his account, BAN IT!" then I'm dumbfounded.
I don't think Krynn was talking about realism. I think he meant that general pub play in CS (which is what this thread idea is about, really) is just as devoid of strategy as multiplayer CoD. Of course competitive play is where strategy becomes very real, but that can apply to any game. Even...
There are some good arguments against DRM, but this isn't one of them. Do you really think Valve would just take a game away from you for no reason, and then ignore your appeal? You could take legal action against them for not holding up their end of the agreement. Valve would gain nothing but...
I bought this (3TB USB3) in October 2012 and have been doing daily backups since then. It goes to sleep automatically after the backup. That list of harddrives Krynn posted looks like internal only, though I'm not sure if the My Book is actually using one of them.
Brand recognition. These guys are gonna have their image planted in your head before you, or they, even know what it is yet.
You know what's cooler than a million dollars?
A logo.

I'm specifically interested in the recently-added gfycat support. Gfy is the way of the future and all we'd need to do is teach the old dog Krynn a new trick and the image dump would be way better!
