Oh yeah, that roguelike thing from the Superbrothers guys looks neat too, at least visually. Same goes for Witcher 3 but I couldn't really make heads or tails of what was actually gameplay in that.
This is the DS2 trailer they showed. There's some gameplay in it but they didn't have an extended demo or anything.
As for the rest of Xbox's showings, most of it looked about as generic as I'd anticipated, but they managed to pique my interest with a couple of things. MGS5 looks like it...
It was DS, not 3DS. And they didn't localise it because they said the book of magic you use would be too complicated/expensive to translate...
... and then they translated it anyway for the PS3 limited edition. :|...
Left 4 Dead 3 lol
Man I honestly just straight up forgot what's meant to be shown this year. The brouhaha over XBOne has been getting so much media (and social media) attention that it kind of drowned out everything else.
Edit: Would be cool to see some more Dark Souls 2. :)
I don't know what it is about breaking up that makes a person crave things that are terrible for them, but this overpriced organic double chocolate ice cream is the best goddamn thing.
I'm sure they'll set up some kind of exclusive deal with any service that's willing to pay them enough, the same way they'll probably have an exclusive deal with Gamestop for used sales.
All kidding aside though, isn't the fact that they're shrewd businessmen kind of the opposite reason that people usually admire Valve? I'm not saying you're wrong, I just don't understand how this sets them apart from any other successful developer/publisher.
Edit: Except that they're...
My first impression was that it was a live album because it looked like a stage, but then I looked harder and now I don't know what it is. It's very tidy and I like the colours but that's about all I can say about it?
Dude, you're reaching. It's not their job to make assumptions, it's their job to take precautions. That's exactly what they did.
Hilarious? Yes. Dangerously incompetent? Probably not.
Combat sounds fun mechanically but it looks like it flows terribly. It doesn't help that it looks so similar to Arkham Asylum/City's, which flowed incredibly well. Even Prince of Persia's combat looks ten times smoother than this.
Concept is interesting, though.
It's quite striking but "weird thing against pure white backdrop" is a little played out with album covers. But then I guess just about everything is.
Questions for you:
Is it meant to represent anything? I don't normally read too far into things but the fact that the wrapper is closed sort...
