Dang, hi persons.
I guess this is the living situation thread now? I'm getting kicked out of my current place after november, which I'm not too cut up about since I wasn't too attached to it anyway and that'll allow me to at least finish the year's study before moving again. Probably shift...
Yeah, I borrowed 2 and 3 from a friend when I got my PS3 and gave up on 2 a few hours in. The story felt like Call of Duty in future nazi space but with less motivation. Just a load of "Ramirez, go over here" without any solid justification.
Spelunky is fun but also a giant horrible ****. But...
I find it kind of interesting that with special interest forums dwindling, large, private, heavily moderated forums like Something Awful and Neogaf are still thriving. I guess people appreciate (some level of) quality control.
Things are a bit shit, objectively speaking, but I'm doing alright...

Grabbed it for Sims 3, can't turn down that deal when it's normally so horrifically overpriced. Origin code redemption is getting ****ing haaaaaammered right now though, lol.
Finished it. I stand by everything I said, except the story gets better and the combat gets worse. (Actually it got a bit better once I finally conceded to switching down to normal mode out of pure frustration, but it was still ultimately just a chore. I actually got a genuine "oh thank ****"...
I've played about 9 hours according to Steam and this is pretty close to my reaction so far. The intro is great, I was just as wowed by it as I was by the original Bioshock, but everything that followed has seemed pretty weak by comparison, and in many ways just in general. Here's a bunch of...
Yeah but, it's an MMO. Based on the majority of past examples failing to live up to expectations, and given the incredibly ambitious nature of this project, why should skepticism not be the default position? Seems totally reasonable to me.
