/me slaps you around a bit with a large trout

Did you actually just type /me shit? You said it :p The new post thing should now be sorted. Editing posts doesn't work, for some reason, but I will worry about that another time. One thing that used to be a major problem is if I quoted kineaesth, my name would be there. Likewise quoting...

Drum roll please! /me does a drum roll This thread is to let you know about the reintroduction of a long lost "feature" that we haven't had around these parts for a long while. The good old "/me" command. I originally implemented this when we first launched a year ago. It was crap, and...

I always love your work, voythas For those who can't remember, voythas won the logo competition. This looks great. Would be awesome if Valve sorted this out.

    Community Feedback: Steam profile badges

I had this problem on my work computer with Chrome. One solution was to keep the Chrome flash plugin disabled and instead get a standalone release installed. This didn't always work properly either. Uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome didn't help. In the end, I had to reformat anyway so it...

Actually every thread has flash in it. The "Upload a File" button uses a flash applet. Otherwise we wouldn't have multi file uploading etc.

Valve: the least fan-friendly company of all time?

First: Calm down. Second: Absolutely not. They are very fan friendly. There's not many development studios that will interact with the fans like Valve have in the past. I'm guessing that their silence isn't so much a marketing strategy. It's obvious that if you look at the history of Valve's...

Yes, it could very well be broken. The old versions were incredibly buggy. Really want to move away from the old version.

Correct. And think of it this way: Right now, it's actually possible for your identity to be duplicated. There's no checks to make sure when I type "chris_d" as my Steam profile that I actually am Chris_D. With this, you only get a Steam profile that can be verified as yours (by logging in)...

You will still be able to login to the site as normal, but you won't get your badge until you link to Steam.

Thanks Vegeta897 Oh yeah, trust... In case anyone is wondering... The Sign in with Steam thing... you enter your Steam username and password on a fully Valve operated, official Steam login form. The only data we get back is obviously your basic user details that are available via the API...
