I just bought it before I read this (impatient - been trying to buy a new PC for well, about 2 years but something always gets in the way, this time thought **** it), but I'd say all my components are a similar spec and price.
I've gone for a sandybridge i5 though - is sandybridge is better...
Any advice on a decent middle of the road PC build?
I did post a thread a few months back - still not bought the bits... babies are expensive
I'm after something that will serve me well for the next couple of years, but without costing a fortune.
So I'm thinking of maybe a nVidia 660...
The status update feature has always been here, I've just made it more prominent. Also, there's a cool new feature where if you link your forum account with Facebook and Twitter here: http://www.valvetime.net/account/social-connect
Then you can send your updates to Twitter and / or Facebook too.
Well it's enabled, but not working. So I think something is wrong on the ImageMagick side of things.
If GD is used, then the avatars don't animate at all, but the image works.
If ImageMagick is used then you get the result you see in my current avatar. It's breaking the images.
Because it was uploaded and processed before the server move using the ImageMagick library and hasn't attempted to change it since.
Anyone currently is uploading and having their images processed by the built in library and for some reason it doesn't like animated images.
We're not called Halflife2.net. That's what I'm talking about.
As for this site, there is currently a technical issue. StarMonkey will fix it as soon as he's able to.
Correct. There are no more animated avatars on Halflife2.net. On account that it doesn't exist.
However, on ValveTime.net it is purely a mistake that StarMonkey needs to resolve. He didn't re-enable ImageMagick after the server move.
