I would very much like to play some Mann Up co-op with some players who know their way around these TF2 modes. It's been fun and games playing so far with random public players, but I don't think we'll be able to take on the expert levels if only two of us are playing with voice chat, the heavy...
Oh dear... I may not finish this game (had the same issue with Deus Ex). The action just isn't satisfying for me, and I'm not really into the RPG elements that much. Still, given all I've heard about it, I may fire up some cheats (are there?) to walk through it just to hear/see the entire story...
It terrifies me too; off-road is where it's at if you have access to a forest. There are only a few conditions where I'll ride on paved roads:
When the road is closed and there are no cars (happens annually where I live, so long road rides at least once a year)
When I have to get from one...
Consolitis: when the game flashes a letter on the screen, you hit it, and your character makes a move to progress... bleh.
Sans consolitis: defend this person/thing while he/she/it makes bad tactical decisions about how to stay alive.
I agree about timed events though... it's a cheap...
Dudes - it is time to ride some f*cking bicycles! I got the fever now that the snow is melting a little... replaced a rear shifter whose superglue job (from a crack a couple years ago) was gettin' sketchy, replaced my rear blinky (lost several miles out in the bush somewhere), replaced a tube...
...never played it, mostly because there are more video games out than I have time for already, and didn't want to deal with system hacks to get it to play on a modern computer BUT I've heard very compelling things about it. Questions:
Should I play the first one (also available there?) to get...
Did you compile this icon pack yourself, or did it come as a kit? I administer a forum for an internal work site, and I had to cherry pick smilies to get the set I wanted. I'm not big on smilie use, but this guy makes me laugh:
Oh man... would love so much to see this done well. I don't think J.J. would kill it, and if Valve/Gabe is overseeing it, that's a recipe for a potentially successful flick.
Is it out?
*Googles it
Apparently it's up for pre-order? Am I looking at that right? I'm wary about this franchise since it developed some consolitis in recent releases, and will be looking for reviews here.
I looked over a few, and while the web design seems cluttered, I like that they break it out into completion types (Main, Main+extras, Completionist, Combined). Calibrating that with my own experiences in a few games, my completion times are maybe ten percent over the Completionist level (with a...
It makes me laugh, because it's such an analog to ants walking around in a colony who always do the feeler dance whenever they walk into each other.
If it's habitual or just small talk, my responses to these fall into two categories: "'Sup?" or "Dude."
I think they're working on a new game engine to drive this episode. Given how groundbreaking the Source engine was at the time it came out, I'm expecting some relatively interesting features (and given how advanced many recent game engines are, this is no small chore) in this new one. Also, I...
I have a bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts, which was intended as a foundation for teaching elementary school children. However, when I got a good whiff of the politics and grief that teachers have to endure, I got the F out. Now I'm a manager and my lifestyle is pretty free - I basically work...
...I thought your name was Borax.
That's funny... I wonder how often that sort of line comes up anymore? (Googles for chat rooms to see if they still exist).
Vexed by current network cable testers throwing false positives or being unusually expensive for such a simple tester, I'm making my own. There'a a zillion ways to do it, but for fun, I'm going to make it using only leftover parts in my toolbox (NAND gates, flip flops, mux/demux, that sort of...
