That's the thing, closing in. I'm a shark with that sort of thing...blood in the water, and all. "That guy's got a sliver of health left! Rocket jump over to him and start pounding!" Nope, dead. I overcommit a lot.
I suck at strategy games. Also, not strictly strategy, but games like Dota, HoN, LoL. I had to bitch out of my company's weekly LoL games because I was sucking up the joint. I think it's because one of the genres I excel at is fighting games, and those "champion"-style games run counter to...
I'm running mine at maxed out as well, 16x AF 8x AA, on a 5770, and while a lot of the game looks really beautiful when you're not scrutinizing it, things like text, man, hard as all hell to read. Like
Also the textures on things like the lift look blurred. Makes 'em look like the textures...
I'm glad to hear someone else is getting this, because I thought it was something with my settings. I mean there are some signs I just literally can not read and have to approximate what they're saying. I took some pictures of the issue but I don't have them uploaded to steamcloud and I'm on my...
I was listening to that song all day today. Personally I enjoyed having it play while I was doing that particular puzzle.
Also as knut said, money for maps is far better than money for cosmetic add-ons.
The Black Mesa team are the best devs. Not only have they managed to recreate the atmosphere of Half-Life but they've even managed to emulate Valve's release schedule practices and marketing silence!
Nitpicking? Complaining? I was trying to see if anyone else had the issue, or if I should be checking something with my settings. But, y'know, nice job turning my question into an attack on the game.
I like how last night when I went into HL2.net Steamchat during the countdown everyone collectively held their breath thinking I was going to spoil the game.
"Darkside get out of here"
"He wouldn't do it..."
"I have a bad feeling"
Should've kept a log.
Here's the rub. Yes, the DLC is optional. Yes, it's $80 for a bunch of meaningless skins, hats, and some admittedly cool gestures. You don't have to purchase ANY of it.
That being said, gamers are perfectly right to be up in arms about it because it exists. The fact that it exists means that...
Remember that
I was thinking this too. I had completely forgotten about changing menu screens despite having played Ep2 a few days earlier. When I finally decided to quit I was like, "Aww, I must've missed a ton of screens!"
I posted about that last night in the chat while there was still an hour left.
Act now, fellas, and you can get the COMPLETE PACK for $40 instead of $90, a real steal for some gestures, skins, and digital derbies. This is what happens, folks. This is what TF2 hath wrought. Valve used to give...
