All explosions are valid for TV show promos, no matter how much sense it makes to put them there. Promos don't have to make sense, they just have to build up excitement.

I've checked their twitter account, and this tweet is nowhere to be found in there. No mention of this in the Steam forums either, and you'd think somebody would have thought of posting that in the Steam forums before HL2.net got it. It's not on reddit either. In fact it's not posted anywhere...
