Don't worry. Many people will agree with you. I am the exception, the minority, with this opinion about The Witcher 3 :)

I think the combat of Fallout 4 is much better than in Witcher 3 although W3 also has really good compared for an open world RPG. Also Fallout 4 offers much better exploration, better more interesting and diverse world. I also didnt like the story of W3 THAT much and the pacing was a bit off...

I would be VERY dissapointed if they won't do a Half-Life or Portal movie. I honestly don't care about the game Bad Robot wanted to make with Valve. I don't even expect the movies to be as great as the games, I just want to see what their approach is.

wasnt there rumors like 1 or 2 years ago that Half-Life 3 will be an open world game with quests and RPG elements? On one hand it would be very interesting to see what kind of RPG Valve will do, on the other hand it would be ****ING STUPID. Make a new IP if you want to make an open world RPG...

photogrammetry was also used for "The vanishing of Ethan Carter" and "The Talos Principle" and both games look amazing.
