Unfortunately us are just a minority, and the casual gamer will keep preordering [insert generic asscreed/uncharted clone here] and the big name publishers absolutely love it. We atleast have to inform others to stop from buying shit AAA garbage because its reached the point where its spiraling...
I pre-ordered the WItcher 3, but I don't regret it one instance. I knew what I was getting. I love TW and I wanted to support CDPR after all the bullshit they were getting. I turned out to be right when game turned out to be one of the best RPG's ever made.
Buying early accesss trash and AAA...
The community was fine with modders being paid for their work, but the process was a complete **** up. I believe Valve was deleting patreon links in the workshop but that could have been Bethesda for all we know.
At some time I did give Valve the benefit, but they largely ignored Steam's...
I tried dodging, mixing in Quen and Yrden (which are both leveled up to tier 2). I've decided that I'll just start pre-Isle of Mists and figure I'll go from there.
The vegetation is pretty much the same, I've played the game... which I'm guessing you haven't.
Yes, they said there was a lighting downgrade, which before was full dynamic lighting but they found out that didn't work on the open world and on a large variety of systems. They outright apologized...
filtering shills is quite a useful feature
yup
The Witcher is a very progressive series, it shows imperialism, racism, religion, sexism and the game feels all the more real and gritty. Despite the fact that the series is based on fantasy novels.
It has these themes, but for those that say...
Comparison videos don't tell the whole story, for one time of day makes a difference in lighting and YT has this awful compression problem.
Funny you mention Portal 2, because I recall that Valve literally gave up after the Bot Enrichment center turned out to be a gigantic failure.
Confirmed to have not played the game. Most of graphical changes was having more prebaked lighting, which reminds me.... HL2 had it even worse. Remember all that cut content? Remember the AI not being as good as the e3 demos? Rember the lighting effects emitting from guns?
Let's also not...
sorry for the double post but I keep getting anihilated by Imrelith, if anyone of the few vt.neters have have TW3... tell me how to beat him. He keeps teleporting in back of me when you deplete most of his health.
That same guy here, I doubt most people here will take your points seriously because fan boys can't handle legitimate criticism. Despite the fact you raised several fantastic points against pre-ordering video games. I'd be glad to be proven wrong on the former, though.
Here's a few excellent...
Actually, I'm not the only person that have are anti-preorder culture. TotalBiscuit, Boogie and a few others have been trying to warn customers to stop pre-ordering.
Pre-ordering is the cancer of AAA industry, which is why it is in the state it is in. Look at Ubisoft, EA and the lackluster...
To be honest, if HL3 came out I'd probably not pre-order it. Over the years I've become jaded and took this little oath to stop pre-ordering games.
However, this is all hypothetical because I don't see HL3 ever coming out.
Valve has been drifting further away from AAA gaming, at this point they only care about indie stuff and e-sport games.
Its a similar situation with some Nipponese publishers like Konami and Sega.
I know alot of people bought the Collectors Editions with all of the goodies, but as far as I know it comes with a GOG code. You either have the option of downloading it through the store page or downloading it through the Galaxy client.
