Why post that if A) It has no relevence to the thread and B) Is hardly english? Some people confound me.
I agree with you on many points Physicles, but the fact of the matter is I highly doubt Valve will release the CS:S source to the folks in the SDK. More than likely it'll be a...
Perhaps they're just being smartasses though and no longer have it in production since it's done? I mean, you aren't making something if it's already finished...
Figured I'd toss some doubt in there, I personally don't believe Valve will drop any sort of bomb on us with a DM mode or...
Couple of months. Most mod teams are working on models and sounds as was forementioned, and I've seen a TON of excellent concept sketches for maps and such.
And then, who knows how many have been working on their mods in secret since the leak... hopefully not many. Valve wouldnt be too...
Gordon finds the force behind Gman, ends up killing Gman in epic battle, force behind Gman hundreds of times more powerful, Gordon fights them, epic battle, another force that was at war with the Gman side congratulates Gordon, but there's a twist ending of some sort.
More than likely the Gman was hired by another Gman type figure years before Black Mesa. Perhaps Gman was a regular joe who survived or stopped some sort of invasion like Gordon and was recruited by someone else to work the position he's in now. This all has probably been stated before, I...
Who knows. Valve very well may release a DM component just for fun. But they have repeatedly stated, "No DM component is in production at this time." so unless they're just being smart about it meaning, "It's not in production anymore, it's done." it pretty much means there wont be.
Plus...
One thing about AI is no matter how smart you make it, if you're running around on God mode like the Valve employees, there's nothing it can do to stop you. Most videos I saw hardly gave the combine enough time to flank or stop Gordon at all. The one time they did have time, (Coast video)...
Looks to me like skyboxes are handled the same way in Source as they are in Unreal engine. Make a box somewhere outside the playable map, fill the box with whatever you want the sky to have, including animated objects and such, then create a box over your playable part of the level, add a "sky"...
Mountain Man has a good idea. More than likely I'll follow his example. :P
Personally I've been recently playing through Opposing Force and Azure Sheep (yeah I know, Azure is a 3rd party game, so what?)
Good times.
Sounds to me like Valve is giving a nice reason to give us the game early. "Ohh.. uhhh... that store in HickVille is selling early... haha lets release it! Our Steam users will love us!". I personally have no qualms with getting the game 4 days early for a made up excuse. :P
As long as the advertisements don't jar me out of my immersion in a game, I've got no problems (such as the random Coca Cola can lying around, or maybe a "Smoke Camels" billboard or something). But, if as it was mentioned in another thread, if I'm in the middle of a plot and the game "cuts to a...
This thread should be closed. It's just pissing everyone off. Heck, I want to see it as well but obviously he's not going to show us. *shrug* Oh well, maybe I'll send Valve a paint drawing I've done on Half-Life 2. At the very least it'll get some laughs from the employees. :P
Spyware is the devil. Luckily my gaming rig is pretty much totally free of it, since I've got it jacked up with firewalls, AVG virus scanner, registry cleaners, and popup blocker. Unfortunately my computer that shares the internet is full of spyware. It's got about 5 searchbars that are...
The demand for coop is pretty high I believe. Many people went nuts when STALKER devs decided to cut coop from their MP. I personally would like to see co-op done well in more FPS's. HL2 I cant see it being done without a lot of work though. There's some games that just arent meant for...
