Don't you guys see it? it is a DEAD body and a headcrab took it over and made it alive. Headcrab did not change anything - it just burrowed into a grave and took over a decomposing body.
A lot of eastern europe looks similiar. However most things suggest that the setting is in Russia.
1. There is russian on many of the posters in movies and pictures
2. There is lenin in some posters
3. Russian gas masks used by combine
4. Russian-made armored vehicle in beach movie

I still can't play Half-Life 1 as a game - it's a collection of things
we didn't get a chance to fix. I'm sure that will be true of Half-Life
2 as well. However, I do get to enjoy things like Day of Defeat purely
as a game (well most of the time), which is nice.

Personally I am buying HL2 but in my opinion the graphics if Stalker Oblivion Lost are better. I hope the gameplay is too.

Some of the best teams in Quake and Counter Strike are Russians. LAN parties are a huge craze there, and hardware is not so bad there. Yes there is big piracy there, but a lot of people are in fact purchasing HL2. I know you have lots of assumptions about Russia but I assure you 99 % of them are...
I think people finally realized that there are only so many ways to make an Omaha Beach map in games. Maybe concentration on fronts that don't involve Americans (Those exist? Huh?) bring up new interest?
I am sort of looking forward to Last Great War, but my great interest is in Finland At...
Relax, this will never happen. Even if it theoretically did happen, you would just have to order your hardware from other countries and US companies would be broke. Way to stop piracy by bankrupting American companies =)
You don't need to translate Russian to someone who was born in St.petersburg (no not the one in Florida kiddies). It does not make sense because Valve got random textures for signs - I bet you they have no clue what they say. I could put an expletive in a sign and they wouldn't know the difference.
That is definately an eastern european city - but not specifically Russian. If I had my shot at it - I would say Hungary, Romania, or Czech Republic. Many of the letterings in the game are Cyrillic but none of them make sense. Valve knows as much russian as Sean Connery speaks Russian.... (hint...
oh NO! A hacked and stolen unfinished version of a game does NOT do everything the developers have promised. My world is collapsing..... man that sarcasm juice tastes good...:cheese:
Seriously why do you post your experiences with something that was stolen, when obviously it is NOT...
