The main reason I want a demo is so I can see how well it runs on my computer before buying it. I'm pretty sure they are releasing a demo after they release the game, but definitely not before.

Yes, I believe Red Alert was one of my first computer games. It's also one of the few RTS games I've played quite a bit.
