BBC suing to supress critical report on Middle-East coverage

That link deserves a quote Read the rest at the link in the post above. The Daily Mails's motto ? "Never let the truth get in the way of reactionary bullshit !"

    Best Graphics Card?

I would go with Stigmata on this one, Intel have it sewn up this round and 939 is dead tech. On the video card side of things I would wait for nvidia's dx10 card that is due to launch in November. It will cost your friend all of his £400 budget, but if future-proof is what he wants then that's...

BBC suing to supress critical report on Middle-East coverage

I wouldnt take too much notice of this , its from the daily mail after all (very right-wing gutter press newspaper) and the Telegraph is just an upmarket equivalent of the same. The BBC gets it in the neck from both sides all the time, the percieved bias says more about the complainers...

I knew something was missing. Its not a real Crysis thread without a caustic Samonism. :cheese:

Coroner: U.S. killed British TV reporter

Well your "memory" of this incident is clearly limited, allow me to help you.... The van was no where near Baghdad, in fact as witnesses have attested it was heading towards Basrah(the other way from Baghdad infact). There is no mention of any warnings given to the van before troops opened...

    Lost season III *spoilers*

Im still confused, I get that the whole red sox thing was a "wink" to the viewer, but was it flagging him as telling the truth or a lie ?

What those figures dont show however, is that USA military spending accounts for nearly half of all federal government expenditure.

Study: 655,000 Iraqis die because of war

Sources of violence : (totals, mar 03-jun 06) Violent, coalition - 31% Violent, other - 24% Violent, unknown -45% (from table 2 of the report) So, yes It can be said that the coalition directly caused 31% of the violent deaths, but that doesnt take into account the 45% of deaths...

Bethesda to announce new game Nov1st: Fallout3?

I was going to post a few scathing replies right about now , but thinking it through I just think there's little of value to be gained by debating Fallout3's "canon" in such heated circumstances. Instead I want to put this to anyone who is against Bethsheda making F3 ; Surely it is the...

    And so it begins...

That concept is in fact the third plank of the Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty. Not that you could tell from the attitude of the major nuclear powers, -themselves signatories to said treaty- who would have you believe such ideas are pacifist fantasies.

Bethesda to announce new game Nov1st: Fallout3?

But surely all that hold true in a FPS enviroment also ? All that changes is the viewpoint of the player, the 3D enviroment would have to be built essentially the same for either fps or isometric. Yeah , I get what youre saying about the observer viewpoint up to a point, it reminds me of the...

Bethesda to announce new game Nov1st: Fallout3?

Well , this is all getting a bit heated round here. Is it my imagination , or did Mikael just draft in a fellow obsessive just in order to have a pop at mr Deus Ex ? Well, RPG does infact stand for "role playing game" which I believe that all the Morrowind games have been (Oblivion included)...

    Interesting

Tron , would it be too much to ask for you post just the parts of these articles that you find interesting, rather than a whole lengthy piece ? Follow it up with a link by all means but the whole thing unabridged just looks a bit - well - lazy, really. Not trying to be negative here , but...

    THC Patch/Gum!

One theory that makes sense to me, postulated that nicotine is actually the archetypal gateway drug. Anyway, I like the sound of the gum as I gave up ciggies last year and have been at loss for a healthy high (too lazy to bake). Too bad the gum will probably have all of the "fun" chemistry...
