no its not like decals. its a physics based plain that ripples up and down

UT2003 does it. when you shoot water or walk around in it, it makes waves. The water doesn't look as good as HL2, but it is effected by physics. I usually turn waves off because I want more FPS :D

there should be a login attached to your cdkey so when you go to play online, you sign in, and it checks your cdkey. if the login info doesnt match what you registered with the cdkey, you dont go online. that makes it so you have to steal more than the cdkey :D password and login name...

when halflife2 comes out, it would be great if a small team of modders remade the halflife1 single player with the new engine. the puzzles could be slightly different and some parts could be changed to allow for new movement and whatever, but i think it would be great. HL1 was a great SP...

i think if you buy HL2 in the store and install it, it will force you to install steam, for patches and such :D

Halo does seem like an epic war because there are huge battlefields with people fighting all around and vehicles and so on :D and also, you have a couple people fighting with you
