I would prefer if they did not strait up abandon EP2 as if it did not happen. You know, like the ultimate recon. "Oh, sorry guys, the episodes are fan-fiction now."
That would be annoying, but if the game is GOOD, it would be forgivable.
It does not need to be released, but dammit it NEEDS to be announced! :p

... Just....like.... Beyond Good & Evil 2...
I like this idea far more than shoehorning Shepard into HL3... like some HL:OP fans desire. In fact Adrian need not even be on Earth or near Gordon. Half-Life is a big, exciting universe. If they were to use this character again, it would be far better to give them their own spin-off adventure...
1) Gordon to speak cool, original phrases such as "I'm the king baby!" and "I'm going to finish the fight!".
2) The G-Man is revealed to be, in fact, Gordon from the future.
4) An actual triage... but at dusk.
5) New Weapons to round out Gorden's arsenal: The Strong Nuclear Force Gun, The Weak...
Why in the world would a linear game be "too old" for a given year?
After all, people today still play (and enjoy) text-based adventure games. Why would a linear shooter be different?
If your metric for "too old" is popularity, I think you need to change your metric. Why, if I find a game fun...
As much as I respect Funhaus.... they have made dumb assertions before. Their jobs are to entertain and as a part of that they make stupid assumptions all the time and when they are serious, they are never 100% correct. They are pretty much a comedy group as far as I am concerned.
Of course sitting on Half-Life waiting for VR to "adjust to every household" and "Once VR has a good percentage in market" does not seem much better either.
How long would that be? 10 years? 15? Why would anyone care? Even the dwindling Half-Life fanbase?
At that point you should probably...
Your say-so is not particularly powerful, especially since:
Well... some of it is up in the air.
But what I truly do despise is the thought of a HL3 VR exclusivity. The software would not even have to be limited to VR on a technical level... it would be enough to make the game and some...
VR has always seemed like one of those things which only works well with certain genres. "Myst" like games, for example.
I really do hope that developers don't add VR mechanics into games for the sake of being trendy.
I decided to do a little math. Posting over nearly 10 years, you would have to post at an average rate of ~273,973 times a day.
Something is wrong here.
