Not quite I am sure what you mean. To use the cache file you would have needed to have bought the game.
Use this as an example. When steam 1.0 came out, people downloaded the Half-Life and Counter-Strike cache from bittorrent, websites and where else they cound get them. They did not get...
I think you can. If you order it from your computer, go to your friends house, have him copy his cache to a CD, or bring your computer too and use a lan to transfer the cache to your computer. So you did buy it and now you have the cache.
Buying it from the store is like the same way...
But you would not know the diffrence, only faster FPS.
It seems to be you are looking for a reason to bash Nvidia by making it the users decision. Who in their right mind would want slower FPS in exchange for nothing?
As for what else you said. Thats almost something diffrent. I still...
Whats wrong with that, would you want it to render 50 faces at 10 FPS, then render the only 2 you see at 40?
(Numbers dont match here, just wanted to show you the basic gist.)
Thus new drivers.

I have a teacher that says Physics is Phun. And I want to kill people when I hear that.
But flying debris that kills people is fun =P
lmao. But, I think its going in the order of the E3 600 or so mb movie. With added movies. That i like... (well just the one for now... but its dam perdy).
Drop it from space, build it after attacking? 'Warp' it in?
End of opposing force it was nuked by G-Man's bomb...
And what was the 'Challenger Deep' or something, that the Ichthyosaur was found in, (not sure if I stated that correctly) . And how it swam in Terrestrial waters or...
I though he said you would not be able to tell the diffrence from AI and scripted sequences. And if you go that from the movie, then that was about how the AI advanced with you to attack the combine from behind.
I am kind of with you. I think that they just updated the maps, Art etc, and used the same demos from the e3 show, with just a new build of the engine/game.
Because all a demo really does is play back where objects are in a map.
Take hl for now as an example. You record a CS demo...
