I foresee an HL-2 commercial with just a monitor with the HL-2 logo on it. You hear grunting, and some...fluid....shoots onto the screen. A deep voice says, "Behold, the power of nerd hormones." Maybe I should go into the marketing business... :D

Diablo 2 holds the current record for gold status and shipping, eight days I believe. If anyone can beat that, its Valve. I'm thinking five or six days, supposing to comes out on time at all. It wouldn't be so bad if: a)Valve would confirm the delay, and b)They wouldn't keep insisting it...

Well, spitcodfry said about a week, give or take a day, which is either today or tomorrow. We'll see, we'll see. But every passing minute I feel more and more worried that I won't be seeing it until November.... :(

I'm going to have to wait once I get it anyway. I'm mailing my faulty TI4600 away today, and BFG Tech, Inc is sending me a new one for free. I doubt it will be here within a week. Maybe I'll use overnight for when I mail it, and BFG said to expect 3-5 days for them to send it. Hopefully it works...

If I don't have it in my hands and installed by Oct 1st, this crowbar is going through my skull. I can see a nerd suicide wave if the game isn't out on the 30th.

Publishers are the worst people in the business. They delay games, rush games, don't allow proper polishing on some games, etc. I really respect devs that self publish, and with the advent of Steam, I woulnd't be surprised if we saw the era of internet-online releases, no publishers needed.

I don't know about you guys, but I really look forward to training in games. HL's hazard course, SOF2's training, Hitman1's training, etc. Someg games have better training than others. Hopefully HL-2 will be more of a field training than HL1's hazard course.

Shit, the only game I can remember this much hype and anticipation for is the original id classic, Doom. Anyone else remember people sitting on bulletins past midnight, waiting for id to upload? The problems and the small upload delay? Back when every gamer was hardcore...

Again, you guys can't be sure that it will come out. I really hope it does, especially since I called off work from Tues through Sat for "family reasons." Meh.
