I just called Barnes and Noble and reserved a copy of raising the bar. They said that they still had november 23rd as the release date, but i expected this because it is a new press release. They will call me, however, when the book comes in. I told the lady that i was talking to about the press...

I think that many stores, such as Best Buy, have already received the games. Even if they have them in storage, though, they're not supposed to release them until the 16th. And, even if a copy does get leaked out, i don't think there could be a "legal" way to unlock it until the 16th.

Does anyone know if there are any HL2 cd covers out? If not, could someone modify one of the better DVD ones to make it a CD cover? This would be really helpful, as i don't have a DVD burner, and i'd like to put my steam backups in a Jewel case. Thanks :E

It seems strange. Some sites, such as Amazon, list it as available. Also, they still list is as written by the other guy that originally wrote it, and as paperback. Is it confirmed that it is going to be hardcover? Man, i can't wait for this book :D

I think steam's way is great! I was a little upset before about not getting disks and all, but now with this backup utility, it's all the more better! The only thing that i think Valve should do, is to release some official CD/DVD Labels and Covers for people that backup the game. THEN it would...

Are you sure? Because i'm pretty sure that Source-based games (like bloodlines) cannot come out before Half Life 2.

Well, i backed mine up fully to test it, and it worked. But yes, it still is encrypted, and there may be a bit more that we need to download. Because of this, i'm not going to back it up until it's fully released. Oh yea...does anyone know of any CD covers / designs? I've seen lots for DVD's...

It should split it into multiple 4.7gb dvd's.

Yea...except that didn't say HOW to do it. It just said that it was coming in the future. I posted instructions on how to run the backup wizard, and doug didn't. :thumbs:
