I like to play the game on normal and hard difficulties. Then find all the secret spots. Then the game is done. Not killing enemies? WHy not. I say play the game with no allies. Kill all your allies. Enjoy the story. Wreak havok in multiplayer. You get to be sneaky and underhanded in MP.
