Reportedly, 256mb cards perform A LOT better with AA and AF on as opposed to 128mb. I read this in a benchmark article somewhere but they could not confirm it themselves.

It both worries me AND raises hopes to see that HL2 was not being worked on, and Gabe implied HL2 had not yet gone gold, and was vague about 9/30. Ugh, he avoids a definate answer when you have a golden crowbar in your hands. :P Good job.
