I don't think there is a dedicated hl2_techdemo2 24/7 server in Steam. You did not have to chech these forums, you could have just went into Steam, loaded up the server browser and then changed the filter to only display servers running map hl2_techdemo2.

Bottom right most avatar is you. You do not have to use the gauss to jump on the ledges, theres always another way. One you will learn once you find the teleporter. Jump around in random spots in the first main area, if your lucky you will suddenly get teleported. Pick interesting spots to...

You can destroy the gate, and the door if you hit it long enough. Also there are hidden ladders attached to the walls. And a hidden teleporter in the first main area where the avatar displayer is. Hope that helps.

Alright, let me set up my server. Add my name to Steam Friends and you will see what server I am in when I make it. Search for Nick: Adam Name: Adam Last: Sierra I will authorise you, and then my name will appear in your list with the server information that I am in.

Its impossible to play my map with the demo version of HL. My map uses entities that didnt even exist in the old demo of '98. Sorry :/
