Looks nice, ASRock is good, it's what I'm running. With an aftermarket cooler, you can crank the 2500k up to 4.6 without any issues. As for the ram, just check the compatibility list from ASRock. I'd recommend a corsair power supply though.
I emailed Intel about that:
tl;dr: 72.6C is normal operating temperature when not under stress, 80-85C is normal for high cpu load.
Also, use Coretemp to monitor temperatures, it gives more consistent readings. And as for stress testing, I use Prime95.
Well, since I'm not taking classes this semester, and I don't have many hours on the job, I've taken up streaming random games in my free time. Many of you already know this because I've been whoring myself out in steam chat.
Does anybody else stream? If yes, what games do you stream, do you...
IMHO, I overclocked because it's stupid easy with the K series of CPUs. My mobo had a drop down list of pre set overclocking settings, and with some proprietary Intel voodoo it doesn't actually clock up that high until I actually need it. Most of the time it runs at 1.6 GHz rather than the 4.6...
Reading the comments on the article made me think, "What if you replaced the words "playing League of Legends" with "reading a book." Would it generate the same amount of controversy?
The song you linked lacks imagination and uniqueness. Building tension with strong percussion and strong low brass lines? It's been done in way too many games and movies. I can't believe that I sat through 3 minutes of that. There's no variance in the song, or any semblance of dynamic range.

And so speaks a man who doesn't know a thing about electronic music.

You should also have a listen to the soundtracks from Metroid Prime and The Legend of Zelda for NES.
The blackbird is a terrible terrible thing, but again, they're primaried first. The only difference is that you'll be about 70km away. Doesn't make much difference against alpha fleets or the new BCs though.
Though, if you're interested in PVE, logistics are always welcome in Incursions.
