Downloading the source is illegal. Having it on your HDD is illegal. Having the source code for HL2 is bad anyway.
How would you feel like it if you worked on something for 5 years and the whole world can download it in 10 mins...
Thread Close. (my first)
yeah we are now getting to the a$$ end of the whole beta discussion.
Obviously if it has not been leaked by now it won't be. There is no proof. No valid screenshots. As C44 said end of dicussion I reckon...
It's a hard one to predict hey...
MAybe they will just release the single player and multiplayer a free upgrade on steam once the code is changed...

Hello All
It makes me sick people calling this guy, who stole the HL2 source, a 'hacker'.
The media and everyone else always places the name 'hacker' on people who get into secure networks and causes damage. Like what this guy did. This guy is not a hacker. He is just a crazy stupid idiot...
I wouldn't be suprised if some people at Valve were crying today. Really...
All of this Source Code business is very sad day for them. *sigh*
5 years work and people can download it in 10 mins. What does the future hold for us now...
No. Psychiatrist would freak.
"Group of gamers camp out waiting for a game. Games are violent blah blah blah".
But hey bad publicity is better than no publicity.
I was thinking the same thing today.
It would be a mixture of pressure from ATI and Vivendi. If you think about it there has been no advertising whatsoever. Vivendi wouldn't be happy about that.
Also with bugs in Steam. I guess Valve really want this Steam bug free and you have to admit...
When we know the next release date would you camp out infront of the Valve office and wait for it?
People do it for Star Wars. Why not do it for the most anticipated game ever. If I lived near Valve I would. Just for the fun of it. One big party a week before.
If anyone wants to sponsor me...
