Support isnt the problem, speed is. Without Nvidia changing or having full control of what shader code is going to go into Hl2, its not going to be very fast or fast at all. I would guess nvidias drivers will balloon up a couple more mb worth of shader code once the fix is out

Sometimes the fps o****er in 3dmark gets messed up. Theres lots of scores with people getting 600+ fps in game1, happens to me a lot of time when for no reason the counter will report like 400 fps

Umm. Ever since the FX came out, every sentence with the words "driver problem" and "will be fixed" means they will use some sort of workaround which might not exactly be considered ethical, proper, morally sound, and will cause a big problem all over internet forums.

Hey easy, look at the driver revision of the anandtech tests. Coincedentally those are the ones which enable trilinear filtering in applications specifically made to test aniso quality, but switches the filtering to bilinear once game benchmarks are used which lowers the quality...

NOBODY has access to a legitimate copy of the doom3 demo. When toms, anand and hardocp did the demo they had a couple nvidia reps standing by to take the demo and card away when they were finished, seems odd that they would do that no?

A card that gets 200-400 fps doesnt seem very "demanding for speed" to me
