I think it's funny how the combine soldiers stop shooting now and then just to point in astonishment at the people shooting at them.

Why a flare gun? Really? Why? Such a cruddy weapon.

The tone when you kill a combine soldier might be one that's given off by your suit to tell you when your enemy is dead?

Just seen the new video. The combine soldier does shoot a flare into the sky, it's all glowing and red like in the tunnels video. It is actually used like a flare though... which begs the question, why is something as boring as a flare gun in use in HL2 (apart from incinerating the odd bloke)

What I really want to know is: If you were to buy Half Life 2 in a box, with a CD, would it come with a kind of purchasers' code that would ALSO let you download the game off of steam? I mean, there's nothing to stop them from doing that is there? It's not like they'd be different copies...
