I think I'm more surprised than angry at no true MP. Although, since I'm not a fan of CS, the lack of a true MP really limits me to SP and mods when they start arriving. I think it was a great risk for Valve to have no MP because the people like me (who hate CS) may lose interest in HL2...

That seems like the best guess to me as well. Surely their contract has something written about this. I think the pricing is fine and I'm actually surprised the silver and gold aren't a bit more $$ considering what they come with.

Depends on if they add a standard DVD edition as I will not pay so much for the CE considering what's in it. I know there probably won't be a standard DVD edition though :( After that, it will depend on what the prices are of the silver or gold...but one of those.

ohhhh that's my biggest wish for us in the states right now. Just a standard DVD version where I don't have to spend $80 for things I don't want. If not, than Steam will get my purchase.

I think that's the only thing I had against the guy. If he had info, that's fine, if he has any opinion (good OR bad), that's fine too...but it was the way he presented it which made him come off very poorly.

Release the single player, and if there is a MP to be made, release that over steam at a later date. Don't think they could afford any more delays at this time of the year ..
