Ditto to what "I eat babies" said. What I can see happening is them releasing the game when they think they can make the most money (and November fits that)....then dealing with the court stuff over time. If the courts find someone guilty, they will end up paying damages at that point.

But a better example would be HLDM when it first came out. Obviously it's not popular now...but with everything new in HL2..who knows. But I do agree the reasoning ...CS is THE online game and has been for a while, so why not do what is popular.

We've waited a year and half...what's 55 more days? Although I'm disappointed it's Nov and not Oct, have to say if this turns out to be right...at least we now have a date. And ONE date will have to be correct eventally. Although I'll wait until VUG or Valve make an official...

I think you forgot that Gabe stated it at E3 last year (in the link I provided). Not in email, not on forums. Didn't you already admit this yourself earlier? If that isn't enough, than I think you're very selectively picking what you want to hear.

You know, I just caught those pics a few seconds ago, and I have to say I thought the same thing. Did they change Alyx? Something looks different or odd about her. But other than that I think they are pretty nice pics. WOuld be better to see the game in action though.

I think until we know all the exact pricing it will be too early too tell which is a good buy or bad buy. But if those original $80 price tags for the CE stay the same, than that seems quite on the high side to me.

Me personal opinion is the game wasn't done at all. Not just DX9 or whatever.... I think a good portion (models/maps/sounds/engine/physics etc) of the actual content was incomplete. I don't think it would have added a year+ to the time of the game finally being released otherwise. And I...

ohhh how I hope they make a DVD edition which ISN'T the CE. If I don't get one of the steam packages (depending on price)...I'd like a DVD version, but I really don't like what's in the CE ..especially for $80. Alas, I'm sure there won't be a standard DVD version :(
