Yes this is true, it says its updated when its actually still downloading. I'm going to wait for it to finish.
You can actually right click your CS:S and select properties, and it will tell you how much you've actually aquired.
I know, I'm glad they've already signed on for another 2 seasons. Really the only shows that make me even turn on my tv is Scrubs, Sopranos, and Family Guy.
Ah well, in all honestly I can't say im bothered that much.
I still won't be able to play the game until it goes gold. I have a HL2 voucher plugged into steam, so I'm sure I will be fully preloaded by the time the game is released and thats all that matters.
For now the CS:S beta will...
Here's a decent fan site I was able to find, for those who have no idea what im talking about:

Seriously though, its nice to see a good comedy mixed with serious moments.. and without a cheesy laughtrack. I'm not an idiot, I don't need to be told when I should laugh.
Please tell me I'm not the only person who has a boner for this show? Fooking hilarious. Dr. Cox is my hero.
And I heard Heather Graham joins the cast for like 8 episode next season... which i believe begins at the end of this month.
Yes, but by that logic Valve has said nothing about the HL2 preload being availaible to everyone either. That is why people are debating.
The truth is no-one will know until a press-release or until around 6pm-7pm ish today. (If they are following the same time schedule as the CS:S preload)
Hmmm, well... You're either screwed or you could buy HL2 via steam when it becomes an option. And then sell your HL2 copy when it comes to you in the mail.
Since most likely you won't get the snail-mail version until 2 weeks or so after the HL2 release.
Realistically I wouldn't put money on that assumption. The only way I could see Valve let EVERYONE with a steam account preload HL2 is if they wanted to run a REALLY expensive test on the stability of the steam content provider servers.
Bandwidth = $$$$
I sent in all my info and whatnot to have a copy shipped to me from the voucher, however you don't receive a new cd key in your boxed version. So technically, you can enter the voucher cd key into steam and preload CS:S or HL2 while you wait for your boxed version.
The ati rep said they will...
The fact is bandwidth is expensive. And with the amount of people wanting HL2, I highly doubt they are going to let EVERYONE with a steam account preload HL2. Because probably everyone (minus 56kers, well maybe even some) would try and preload it just for shits and giggles.
So it would seem...
There is the quote from the interview. And if I had no idea who Gabe was I probably wouldn't have cared. But from everyone who has met him, he sounds like a genuinely nice guy. And I don't understand how someone who "respects" Gabe could call him fat. Kind of a strange way to show respect if...
Did you even look at the second animation he posted?

"im captain fat Gabe Newell of the USS Fatmobile"
I wasn't referring to the first one as much as this one.
Are you his close friend? Do you know him personally? I'm pretty sure the answer to both those questions is no.
Sure I poke fun at my friends if I know its cool and I know my boundaries, just the same way the rib on me. This isn't the same thing.
I remember not to long ago reading an...
