IMO, a Squire is a good choice as is an Ibanez. A good (beginner) place to check out is Musician's Friend, but I personally go to SamAsh.com or Sweetwater.com
I'd go for an Electric/Acoustic guitar for learning. But if you are wanting to play the rock hard stuff just get a strat.

I thought and still think BF1942 was kickass. And can't wait till BFNAM comes out. (drool) I didn't like the singleplayer...but multiplayer. Idioticaly fun. Playing on a BF1942 32 person LAN game is fun stuff. Never played it oneline tho. :P
You know they can't bring you down for downloading bach or any other of the old classical masters. That would be illegal. They can't bust you for anything that hasn't been copyrighted. For example, I can download every single Twilight Zone episode and the MPAA (or whoever controlls tv stuff)...
