All the game devs are quiet these days.
I don't see why they would rush the game now? The next milestone is E3 in May. And if it's not ready, they just release a a few screen shots, a video, and stay mum on the release date while giving out a bunch of fluff talk. We're used to it by now.
Naw, they'll come out, it's just that people are now calling it UT2K5.
D3 has to come out, this May will be the 3rd year D3 has been at E3.
It's just that alot of these games are now shooting for an April release. With last minute delays, I see them going into May, which is when E3...
There hasn't been any news from anyone lately, the devs are all quiet.
UT2K5 - Nothing, all they said was happy new year.
D3 - Nothing, and if they are not done by E3 this year, it will have been 3 cycles of the show.
HL2 - Nothing.
If the rumor is April, then I'm sure that date will get...
E3 has been a drag lately for fans that can't go.
No demos given out, no trailers released on web sites. It's basically turning into a date where devs say "Two more weeks."
I hope this year, someone actually releases a demo for fans to play.
I learned my lesson from UT2K3 with "two more weeks". Heck, I'm waiting to build an entire new machine, but won't start until the games are in stores.
There's really nothing out there for FPS fans, and Call of Duty is another WWII shooter.
Nope, I'm waiting till next year, when we...
Yes, the difference is that the traffic to this site has dropped since the delay was confirmed. The only people surfing now are true die hard fans waiting for the game.
Oh, and I've coined a word for people who screw up threads. They're not trols, because those are people who post...
After playing Halo for PC, I think HL2 will be just another game. Without a jetpack like T2, it takes forever to get to the action if a vehicle is not available. I got bored and went back to T2. Now I'm thinking the only game that will be fun is TV next year.
There's another article that appeared on the front page of Yahoo.
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=581&e=1&u=/nm/20031023/tc_nm/media_videogames_halflife2_dc
It's actually from Reuters, but appears in the Technology section of yahoo. The big deal is that it's on the front...
I don't care about shiny walls and light effects.
MP Gameplay is what I'm looking for.
I wish the devs would stop tooting their horn talking about fancy graphics, and start talking about how fun MP will be.
Yes, it went down.
Here's the thread with my prediction on page two.

Can you believe it?
Here's a recap of the wonderful sept 30th on the east coast.
Bluesnews doesn't update until...
This day is like totally dead.
Bluesnews isn't updating, no news on the benchmark, and the
Alcatraz announcement doesn't happen until 6pm pst.
The only thing that could rub it in even more, is if this site crashed.
Go ahead, do it, take it off line until tomorrow and make it even worse.
Well, obviously, nothing has happened yet and probably won't until the afternoon out West. That means it will be late in the evening for the East coast, UK, and Europe before we hear anything.
I can tell they're gonna pull a "release it at 5pm their time" just to piss everyone off. Yet claim they're just building suspense.
Sheees, the benchmark is done, it's already been given to a few game sites. Release.
It should have been released at exactly 12:00am in the 1st time zone...
People want to know the new release date.
That's where the frustration is. And "when it's done" isn't good enough.
The devs we're so forth coming a few months ago, answering e-mails, the suggestion thread. Then a month ago, Gabe became tight lipped about the release date. Why? If...
