And heres the M16 model. Just a quick conversion fo the M4A1 foregrip and a new Stock and bam done. This one ways in at 3500 polys :E. O and i forgot to get rid of the indent on the barrel, which isnt on m16's :P
M16 and random Glock 18
Cheers for the comments guys, this is definatly my best work so far. Soon i'll post another quick conversion to M16
Waedoe: Polycount abit low 0_o, im assuming you mean it seem abit low for what it is. Well it is correct and yes i am checking it in editable mesh :P. I put heaps of effort into...
Heres my latest creation M4A1, M4A1 RIS and M4A1 with M203. Pretty much finished just got to tweak the m203 and optimize the lot. The poly count for a standard M4A1 with no attachments is 3000 and the RIS version the same. When you add attachments then the poly count starts to mount up a bit...
^^ Whats the point of taken six steps when you can take one. Chamfer is the easiest and most accurate way of rounding low poly objects. Do it wack a smooth group on bam perfect.
You have to select the object you want the material on and in the material editor hit "Assign to Selection" its a little blue box. I think thats your prob.
To true if i can teach myself to model anyone can. I have the shortest attention span and fuse (hence the name). Just use google find tuts stick at it and bam, if you cant be bothered doing that then your not 3d modelling material. Try 2d :P
Like i said in my first post these renders where of the not optimized versions. Ive optimized now so they should be good no more wastage.
Mikademius: Hey i never noticed that there, but yeah its a bit to small of a detail im sure you'll be the only one that notices ingame :P
GOoch: Not...

Sound exactly like Chaos Ops lol, which is the mod im in.
I agree should be in the help wanted forum. Also do you have a website or anything, i need visuals.
Its a good model. I have some crits.
The model seems a little streched or squashed. It might be a bit skinny also. Couple errors around the handle areas. Some smooth groups on there may fix it.
Heres a good reference pic if you dont have one already.
Quite simply. Sart with a box convert to editable poly. Couple Chamfers Extrusions Welds Deletes Creates Collapses here and there. Move vertices around for the next 8 hours. Whack some smooth groups on and its done :)
