I remember doing this a long time ago but I forgot how.
With the bink videos, there's a way to use the RAD tools to make them run smoother.
Does anyone know how this is done?
And are there any other bink videos released that Halflife2.net does not have?
It might seem like everyone's hyped about it but that's also because you're posting on a HL2 message board. Of course people posting here are going coo-coo for HL2. Same goes for other non-HL2 sites. It's the more "casual gamer" that doesn't take the time to read boards and post messages that...
With alot of people starting up school again (espcially university and college students), it's easy to push HL2 to the back of your mind. I admit I lost interest the end of august and september. I'm still not totally "feeling it" and probably wont till I pick up the game.
I don't even have...
I mean, that's 7 days away. A week. It doesn't even feel like it because I've been staring at the same old movies the last few months. In 7 days don't you think it would be wise for valve to release some new goods to make anyone who has lost interest over time, to salivate and yearn for the...
Deus Ex was memorable. Half-Life was but I've over-played it to much to think about it as being memorable. Same with Doom and Quake.
hmm...
*installs Deus Ex
if not that then at least a "protect alyx" mission where your in a lab and monsters/soldiers are breakin in but she has to stay safe while setting up the machines for something.
They threw in alyx for these kinds of scenarios....
She'll also drive the plot.....
stalker's pre-alpha so you can't say anything about it. The video was really just showing off the engine.
They haven't put the "fun things" in yet =p
they're probably not done alot of things (IE: character animations, cool effects, etc...)
It's just a video of the world.
the whole easter egg thing could be a clever plan to keep HL2 fans off of vavle's backs for awhile.
"tell em there are easter eggs in the video's so they watch them over and over again. It'll give them something to do."
anybody play "tresspassor?" (or a game with simlar and proper spelling?)
It was the jurassic park game where there was a "realistic world".
I remember playing the demo and shooting out blocks underneath a portable and watching it roll down a hill.
Then I was eaten by raptors.
Was a...
reading "the duke"'s post just now about how in stalker you buy guns and armor and such, this is probably what is referred to as Life-simulation.
It's not the world but what you do in the world that is similar to life. In HL2 you don't have to buy guns or cars or find places to sleep etc...
boog has a point though. I mean, look at other g ames. Unreal 2 was supposed to be graphically amazing (well, from stuff i read about the fire and such) but it turned out to be crappy.
