Although the 50's may show a big improment, it'd be interesting to know what corners nVidia had to make. I was about 2 seconds away from returning my 9800 for a 5900 because I've never had a problem with nVidia products or drivers. Obvioulsy now Im keeping my 9800, but if nVida fixes the dx9...
Yep... I can read :) The 9600Pro would be better to get though over the plain 9500, but then thats not what were talking about. Im going to go off and ramble to meself in a corner.
Nope. A 9500Pro has all 8 pipes enabled just like its older brothers 9700/9800. It just has a 128bit mem where as the 9700P/9800P have 256bit mem.
The plain 9500 does have half its pipes cut but its got the 256bit mem.
I've seen in the movie and a screen shot a dock in the water, where a few headcrab scientists are walking. When you go onto the dock, because of the physics would it be possible to shoot the wood planks, therfore causing the baddies to fall in the water?

I was set to pick up a 9600pro, but in the end got the 9800pro. Alot more then I wanted to spend but when I thought about it, it just made sense. Halflife will probably be one of the last games that the 9600pro will run with almost max detail at a decent frame rate. All the reviews were...
