This. Bothers me consistently more than anything else in the show. He's been humanized slightly more in this season, but he still comes off more as an ambitious bad guy struggling with a conscious more than a man defined by a sense of duty, law, and honor.
Okay, somehow I missed this thread and it seems that it has some posts that were enjoyable and interesting to look upon. Anyway, I just want to take a second to say that I hate this sentence that I quoted.
You're saying that if A (people are unable or unwilling to not treat people poorly)...
I just think sometimes someone will be defensive and ignore a rational explanation when confronted because they can write it off as one person being over-sensitive/stupid, but the backup of downvotes can show him he's in the minority without having a ton of people falling all over each other and...
Late to the party, but devils advocate here: Generally I find downvotes are a good way to call out a person who makes a somewhat out of line, inappropriate, or just dumb post, as determined by a consensus among several posters. Not everyone needs to have a four page quote war telling someone...
Yeah, well that's pretty deep into the books after she was introduced as a spunky, sympathetic girl and we watch her experience terrible horrors and suffering which make the resulting transformation pretty reasonable. Thus she never really stops being one of "the good guys" to us.
I can't say I...
Yeah, almost a bit too minimalist, I guess. The white seems a bit disconnected from the condom, just weirdly sterile (ho ha) and artificial. Sort of mixed on the condom, can see why people might roll their eyes and think you're trying to be edgy or something like that.
The thing is that they aren't opinions. Valve did make a game. Valve didn't make a game. Those are factual statements. It might be easy to act like they're opinions because some of the words are vague and not clearly defined.
While not overtly sexist it certainly wasn't putting out a good vibe. Worse though, it was a poor expression of an already weak analogy which was just redundant because you'd already stated your feelings on the matter in a prior post.
I'm fairly sure that some character actually complains about how inclined people are to play the Rains for them, and I think that was round about when the wedding was being planned.
Frankly, I'm not even positive as to how this movie could even in function in the latter half without focusing on the deep stuff in the books. I feel like the closest thing to making it summer action movie-y would look like an RTS.
I wasn't expecting it, no. But given that's what actually makes Ender's Game good, not vivid descriptions of explodey space battles, I thought they might atleast try for it.
Ender's Shadow is a better series, for sure. Ender's series is pretty solid though. Game and Speaker are both great and then it steadily declines from there. Not really crazy about this. Looks a lot like "Hey we made the coolest super cool genius kids in space, p. sweet" not "We've created a...
