Ok so I got this in the end. What's with the x-axis and y-axis on the mouse sensitivity not matching? How retarded. And seemingly no way to fix it.
Seriously, I've only been playing games again since August, and already there's a bunch of games which have had shit console-port-related...
A stone's throw away from me. I go past there every time I visit anywhere...
Sad.
Hmm, that never happens to me and I'm on a bike. I'm usually steadily overtaking everyone else and following at a large distance from the guy in front though so they don't really get much of an opportunity...
I got that for £1.50 on the Steam sale. I heard that if I liked Deus Ex I would also like Alpha Protocol...but it just didn't engage me at all. I got to one of the first mission areas, thought the gameplay was absolutely awful, got bored and gave up.
That's why I prefer playing Rush. If you could round up enough people to play a proper organised game of Conquest, it would easily be better, but I find the game just flows better and is far more fun on public servers playing Rush.
Same reason I never bothered playing CTF on public servers...
Gotta throw Metro 2033 in there. One of the best games I've ever played, and it got some pretty mediocre reviews.
Tribes:Vengeance singleplayer.
Quake 4 multiplayer.
Privateer 2 (now that's going back a few years). Speaking of which, whatever happened to space combat games? Give me...
Hmm I went to the pub in the end anyway. It was either going to be a night for drinking or a night for BF3, and drinking won! It's all working now, anyhow. Gonna whack on the new nvidia drivers and away we go...
I can't activate it...it just sits there...trying to connect to the activation server.
How annoying. And I have tomorrow off work. And I'm moving house over the weekend, so I quite wanted to play it tonight!
Really? Caspian didn't run brilliantly in the beta for me on high settings (some effects like shadows turned down to medium). 2500k/560Ti/8gigs RAM. It looks like it needs some sort of supercomputer to run at the ultra settings.
Yes, so I see...Metro 2033 is fantastic! I just got to chapter four. It's everything I love about gaming...the most immersive thing I've played since Thief 3/Chaos Theory. It looks incredible too. Total system hog mind, and the different mouse speed for X/Y axis is lame...but it doesn't...
The graphics look absolutely unbelievable. It's as much of a jump as Quake 3 was over everything else at the time (as the first game ever to require a 3d accelerator...). Quite possibly more so.
Too bad it won't look like that on mine!
Just finished this (yeah ok it took me a while, but I did start from the beginning again when I got it working properly...).
Good game. A frustrating game in many respects, because there's brilliance lurking in there somewhere but it never quite reached that potential (Human Revolution deja...
Keep him alive and spend millions putting him through a media circus at our expense with a pre-determined outcome anyway. Or, a bullet in the head and we get on with our lives. Hmm.
I really don't get the humanitarian arguments in these sorts of situations either. So, it's ok for thousands...
If anything, it should be the other way around.
I read a very good article some time ago...can't for the life of me remember where or by who, but the gist of it was that the reason our political systems consistently produce such shit governments is because we give them long-term problems to...
Hah, believe it or not, after a week of trying, I've just managed to fix it!
Oddly enough, I DELETED the cache folder I'd previously created on the hard drive and the fs_cachepath config stuff and it runs perfectly now. Weird, huh? I think I'm going to start the game again from the...
The game isn't challenging at all, even on nightmare. And I normally find singleplayer FPS games more difficult than I should do considering the level I've played online ones at. Crysis 2 was an absolute bastard of a game at times, on hard. The defibrilator is just more of a pisstake still...
