Because it was designed to do those things? One and three aren't even that remarkable, not when talking about a sentient AI with access to a highly advanced facility clearly meant to be configurable.
My guess is the GL part simply means the system has the ability to accept personality imprints...
Well, the prometheus thing is definitely a good analogy, and they hit you over the head with it in-game with the Prometheus Turret telling you so much, the rest has varying degrees of validity, and a lot of it is probably just reading into things. Interesting none the less. Nicely done...
