This. How many shows have there been over the years where the cast gel as well as this one? You can see they all feel comfortable with each other, which in turn shows through their characters. Things like Star Trek TNG, or DS9, or Bab5 were all pretty dire and stiff for their first, and in some...
That can be said for any show that gets cancelled before it's first season finishes.
Fox cancelled a number of shows without giving them a fair chance. With Firefly, they expected something akin to a Star Wars tv show. Cos they didn't get the direction Whedon had planned for it, rather than...
I am a definite Browncoat. I completely adore Firefly and would defend it to the hilt. The humour, and the delivery of that humour is what made it for me. My fav episode was 'Our Mrs Reynolds', where Mal got married. The tears were blinding me I was laughing so hard.
Like you said, it's not the...
Damn, that's scary. The way it was streaking down I was expecting some major impact!
I see the ultra-nationalists are blaming the US for using a 'new weapon'. Personally, I'd blame the aliens.... :blackalien:
Yeah, I get what you mean. The whole balance thing makes sense, and to be honest I don't think I've really thought about it that way.
I liked the Battlefield games for the equal damage rules. I think it was Americas Army that I played where you had to time your shots with the sway of the...
This kinda thing doesn't bother me overly much to be honest. Like Vegeta said, to me its more about the satisfaction of aiming and hitting with that aim. Though it is cool to see the target recoil from the damage, it isn't essential to my enjoyment of the game.
One thing that does piss me off...
Someone sent me the link to this today after I mentioned that I had 'once' considered getting this game. Must admit, I don't understand how things could change so much, for the worse...
Yeah, I remember the TF2 spamming after updates. Used to use them as an opportunity to figure out the weaknesses in the 'new' stuff... while avoiding jumping on the bandwagon with the excitables.
*sigh*... downloading now.... Oh well, that paper due monday can wait a little longer... (I know what I'm like, if I get into this game I'll get right into this :yuck:)
I think I'll give it a shot soon. I've got a crapload of college work, and a house move next month to contend with, but after that I'll shunt this to the top of my list.
I've seen most of these ones in my search too, there were a couple there that I missed. But, no.... still no luck :arghh:
Nope, unfortunately not that.
I'm almost certain that it's a small time local band now and that it was a one time recording distributed by friends. Just going to have to...
Same. Borderlands completely blew me away with its mix of crass humour and slightly different approach to your standard FPS fare. BL2 was pre-bought. And the Fallout games are awesome in my opinion too. Only reason they didn't make my all time top is purely down to the time I've invested in the...
Ooooh, nice one!
Final Fantasy 7 is probably mine too. It was the first game that affected me to such a degree that I actually pretty much abandoned life in order to keep playing. I traded in my N64 and all my games solely to get my own PS and FF7.
Honourable mentions for me are Diablo 2, the...
Indeed. I'll stick with my back catalogue for the time being. Not long finished a rerun on FF VII and FF-Mystic Quest.... considering trying FF XII again since I never did finish that one. Or perhaps IV as its been years since I played that one.... decisions, decisions...
To be honest, I miss those days. That's why I keep going back to the older ones. As cliched as they were, they were awesome.
As impressive as this looks, I have a major issue with pay-to-play games and refuse outright, even if it's something that I know I'd like. Also, an MMO FF just seems to...
