    Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

^^If you have have a hard time making money, just finish the DB quests (you get like 20k for that), and then keep doing the randomly generated ones. But yeah, it's been fairly easy to generate funds based off dungeon stuff. Except recently, I've been neglecting selling anything in my...

Just wait until you find out your final assassination target for the DB.

Isn't that the road going out of Ivarstead?

    Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Yeah, they're easy enough to bypass, but that still makes them a nuisance at times. Dragons are made out to be visually impressive, though. Someone above mentioned Morrowind having a unique culture. Nord culture in Skyrim seems to be represented well, and racial conflict isn't slighted...

    Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I regret getting through a certain point of the main quest. Sure, dragons are cool, but sometimes they're annoying when you simply want to do something else. Dragons=giant cliffracers.

^^Perhaps I worded my post wrong, but I do agree for the most part. Certainly from what I've heard the UI drops the quality by a fair bit, but I'm playing on 360 because the possibility of me getting a new gaming pc is slim, so I'm not affected by it. When others say Skyrim has been dumbed...

    Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Having a vague idea of what your preferences are, I can't heartily recommend Skyrim. However, Skyrim seems to trump Oblivion in certain areas, even if by a narrow margin. The environments and atmosphere seem to be the biggest improvements, especially in the sense of being less generic and more...

    Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I like how my demonic horse attacks my enemies with aplomb, and usually kicks their asses to boot. In one scenario, as I was approaching a Dwarven ruin looking down on some bandits, my horse lept from a cliff and into the thick of them. I also encountered a daedric prince, that...

For one thing the voice acting is more varied, as for bland voice acting, a large portion of it is in a mundane context, so it's understandable. Has anyone gotten far into the DB/Thieves guild questlines? They seemed surprisingly well-written to me (especially the Thieves guild), and there...

On environmental diversity: Has anyone come across strange environments yet, such as the volcanic tundra Beth mentioned?

Yeah, didn't expect them to easy, I found a hammer with a frost enchantment that would be perfect for battles like those. I might put a few more dents into the MQ just to fight one.

    Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Haven't encountered a dragon yet aside from the one in the opening town, I'm wondering if you have to be at a certain spot in the main story for them to start appearing. I heard the MQ gets better as it moves along, but I've barely touched it. I'm focusing on the DB and Thieves Guild. I'd...

    Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

^^That. Oblivion had a few catchy tracks but by and large they were pretty annoying. I get Skyrim's tracks stuck in my head and I don't want to kill myself...yet. Aside from that, it really does seem the devs were paying homage to Morrowind with this game, not just with the re-mastered...

    Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Yeah, well, Bethesda's writers finally seem to be aware of sarcasm, which is a good thing (and gasp--your character can use it in dialog!). I haven't read any books but the dialog between characters in the world seems to be an improvement over Oblivion. I've noticed other improvements, such as...

While I don't trust the gamespot site, one quote stuck out Supposedly, it also has "witty writing" which I find hard to believe, perhaps Bethesda hired a decent writer or two (or gave them ritalin). IGN praised Skyrim for its quality content as well. We'll see, I certainly wouldn't mind...

    Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Vivec was cool due to the sheer size. I felt Ald Ruhn (or whatever it's called) had the best aesthetic. Supposedly, all of Skyrim's five major cities have a different visual design to them; not to mention there will be quite a few smaller settlements sprinkled across the province. Hopefully...

    Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Yeah, I don't know, every video I've seen of Oblivion suggests it is less generic and more detailed than in oblivion. However, I don't doubt the claim of some empty, featureless play areas. I'm also going off of the fact that Bethesda declared more varied environments, such as a birch forest...

    Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I think it's hard to gauge a game on video, even one that is 1hr and a half long. Were all the environments sampled? I doubt it, and from all the visuals I've seen, they've seemed distinct from Oblivion, of course, I haven't seen every video.
