I think that as long as you have the saves from the end game last time, it will be OK. The saves are circular so you gradually save over the old ones as you go. If that makes sense...

Right, I have started my perfect Mass Effect playthrough in preparation. I have done up to leaving the Citadel for the first time with all side missions done to my role-play character's feelings etc.
Will start Noveria and all that tonight. Should be done by next Friday.

That's exactly what it's for. When a game is bought second-hand, EA get no money from that purchase. It's pretty much as bad as lending the game between several friends.
I just loaded up Mass Effect and was absolutely distraught to find my save file is gone. Can I play the game to an acceptable, side-quests and all, standard within one week? D:
