Splash Damage - Senior IT Analyst
I currently work here and can certainly vouch for the company being an awesome place to work. Our IT manager is also a very friendly guy and very easy to work with.

Working in the industry on a £ multi-million game, quietly regretting how ND worked out but still having a ball. Where are you?
Still trolling forums I see. Oh......kaaaay.
When Activision buys up a company they take it upon themself to honour any debts outstanding to said company. That's how business works, and why bankrupt companies generally only get bought for ludicrously low sums of money.
Activizzard need to pay up.
Anyone know what exactly this is?
Being halfway through a Q2 game, I would at least like to know what the update gives me in return for a defunct save game.
I know that XBLA titles have to be under 350MB, but full expansions can be more or less any size (such as GTAIV:TL&TD which was 2GB).
I would set aside at least a Gig for the 360 DLC and hope it doesn't go over. Chances are it won't.
Levelling?
This had better be a game mode that is completely switched off when you play 'normal' Team Fortress 2.
Okay, maybe it has the positives of letting more casual players get access to the unlocks they never had time for, but the rest seems like a total gimmick. If the only way Valve...
Duck-spamming would change your hitbox (what they refer to as the bounding box) from the 'standing' to 'crouching' hitbox very rapidly (by use of a script, as mentioned), which means your head is only in one place for a fraction of a second: very hard for snipers to headshot. It may also have...
All mods are eligible for the MOTY awards provided they have released a major update in the past year. I don't see anything wrong with rewarding mod teams for continually working on improving their mods, in fact it should be positively encouraged. In fact the Moddb staff have chosen a good...
As a PC user, I have to say L4D 360 is one of the best FPS console ports around. I hate playing Halo 3 on the Xbox, but I don't mind L4D at all. It basically has the same functionality, and Valve even tailor-made some aspects of it (e.g. there's a button on the 360 version that makes you do a...
Valve may have taken to subsidising the DLC, just to make it free for its consumers and make the 360 owners not feel left out. I.e. Valve pay M$ monies for every DLC accessed, but in return Valve get the sort of customer confidence they have on the PC on the Xbox.
Looks like a fun mod, it's a bit difficult to recognise which moves are being pulled off though. It needs some colour variation or some leading animations to make the moves more readable. (E.g. around the 60s mark, the finishing move kills him before you can even see what move it is.) If you...
I'll get this when they charge less than I can get it for in the shops or online. -_______-
It's generally considered a very underappreaciated game that was overshadowed by all the big(ger) and better known releases (because they were sequels of great games) around the same time.
Well said, but you can't compare this to DoD because at least its early publicly released versions didn't have massive gaping holes into the void and holes in the map boundaries where you could fall out. Early DoD (Omaha, Hill) was the most horribly unbalanced thing ever, but the maps were still...
Honestly looks too early for beta. I've seen better pre-alphas. The sort of bugs that people are finding in this version would be quicker and more reliably reported and fixed using an internal testing team.
By jumping into beta this early you're going to have a lot of people playing it but...
