Thanks for reminding me about this one.
Which reminds me...I wouldn't say that it's my favorite album of the year, but it definitely accomplished something on an aural and aesthetic level. Bravo to The Flaming Lips for going from their poppiest, most mediocre album to their most experimental...
Ever since that post Yorick made, I don't believe you.

And I say good effort, but the "Over the Rainbow" and Sigur Ros song are huge cliches for movie trailers or movies in general, so it was hard to take it seriously. I love Sigur Ros, but I really loathe that one song that seemed to be played in all movie...
It actually takes the name from the F. Scott Fitzgerald short story that the movie is based on. It probably seemed a lot less pretentious and kiddy in 1922.
Are you serious? You know the title is taken from the F. Scott Fitzgerald short story released in 1922?
Of course, maybe you're just trying to be witty. So I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

This is only part one of my Christmas, because I have a huge family (dad is remarried).
Here's what I have so far:
The email from last night revealed that I have a
WIRED magazine subscription (woo!)
We The Media by Dan Gilmour (about grassroots journalism in the Internet age)
The Cold Nose by...
Yeah, I tried to catch Atlas Sound when I went to CMJ, but I couldn't schedule it in right. I did get to see Deerhunter back in September though. That was pretty awesome.
And yeah, I love Miyazaki. I grew up watching My Neighbor Totoro; it became a cult for me.
I hate to triple post, but I need to bring everyone's attention to this Christmassy music video. Has one of the best lines: "I know I'll...get the urge to kill my family, because it's Christmas today!"

I love Howl's Moving Castle! Such an endearing film. Still need to see Spirited Away.
And is the first one a Deerhunter album? Looks like Bradford Cox's body.
So far, my step-mom's best friend got me this awesome t-shirt: http://shop.whylouisville.com/index.php?product=Squid&c=1000005
And my dad and step-mom gave me a small cardboard jewelry box with a piece of paper inside that says, "Check your email! (on Christmas!)"
THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME...
And here's an awesome weapon that can temporarily blind people and destroy the RFID devices inside credit cards and hotel cards:

There's a lot of win in this thread right now. The 4Chan ordeal is hilarious. I couldn't imagine that kid was just a troll; I couldn't see the point of that.
